Morgan Evans is speaking out about ex Kelsea Ballerini.
The country singer appeared to address Kelsea’s newest six-track EP, Rolling Up The Welcome Mat, which seemingly detailed more about their divorce.
“It’s really sad for me to see this person, who I spent so much of my life with, and loved with all my heart, saying things that aren’t reality and that leave out what really happened,” Morgan, who married Kelsea in 2017, wrote on Instagram Feb. 21. “She knows I’m not the type of guy to speak on those things publicly.”
After adding that “if this is what she needs to heal, I hope it helps,” Morgan concluded his statement with a message to fans.
“All I ask is that if you’re on my pages, please don’t be mean,” he urged. “Don’t be mean to Kelsea, don’t be mean to each other. Life’s too short.”
His message also came hours before Kelsea’s Call Her Daddy podcast episode dropped, in which she discussed their divorce and couples therapy experience.
