John Krasinski bundles up in green jacket and holds slate for day one of A Quiet Place: Day One

‘Cannot wait to see what magic they conjure in this one!’: John Krasinski bundles up in green jacket and holds film slate for first day of filming A Quiet Place: Day One

John Krasinski bundled up in a thick green coat in a photo he shared to social media from his first day filming A Quiet Place: Day One on Monday.

The 43-year-old actor and director shared a photo where he held a slate, a filmmaking tool used to synchronize audio and video.

A green Boston Red Sox hat sat atop his head, and he flashed a close-lipped smile which conjured up images of his office character Jim Halpert.

The next couple images showed the star, who directed each of the first two A Quiet Place films, as he chatted with several members of the cast and crew including Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o.

He captioned the photo, ‘Requisite photo of slate on day 1… this time with a twist! So honored to be there day 1 of @aquietplacemovie DAY ONE with the maestro Michael Sarnoski and legendary @lupitanyongo.’

The Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan star added, ‘Cannot wait to see what magic they conjure in this one!’

Alex Wolff, who is co-starring in the film, wrote, ‘!’ in the comments.

While Krasinski directed the first two films in the franchise, he is not at the helm of this upcoming movie.

Michael Sarnoski, who directed the 2021 movie Pig starring Nicholas Cage, is directing this movie.

The Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star may not be directing the film, but he has a number of other projects on the way.

His new movie Imaginary Friends, which he wrote, directed and stars in is currently in post-production.

Though IMDb does not have any details on the plot of the movie, it will star Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds and Krasinski’s The Office co-star Steve Carrell.

Imaginary Friends is set for release some time in 2024.
