Perth Scorchers fans BLAST Stephen Eskinazi after his ‘pathetic’ running leads to ‘inexcusable’ run out in Big Bash League final

Stephen Eskinazi has copped a lashing on social media after the Scorchers star was run out in bizarre fashion in the Big Bash League final.

With the Perth gun expecting Max Bryant to aim for the stumps closest to him, which teammate Cameron Bancroft was darting towards, Eskinazi ambles to his crease with no urgency whatsoever.

Not even bothering to extend his bat out towards his end, Bryant seized his opportunity and crashed the ball into the stumps, with his Brisbane Heat teammates eager to see the TV replay with the margins very tight.

And upon closer inspection, there was clear daylight between Eskinazi’s bat and the crease, and the opener was given his marching orders after hitting 21 runs off 19 balls.

‘Hi, I’m Stephen Eskinazi, and welcome to “how to not run between the wickets 101″‘ one Twitter user wrote.

Another simply said: ‘Shocking running’ while a third added: ”Lazy batting and running’.
