Raiders' Maxx Crosby blasts division rival Joey Bosa for being 'crybaby' after Chargers playoff loss

‘I’ll never be that guy:’ Raiders’ Maxx Crosby blasts division rival Joey Bosa for being a ‘crybaby’ after Chargers playoff loss, as linebacker criticized referees after being eliminated by Jaguars

Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby has called out division rival Joey Bosa for his comments after the Chargers first-round playoff loss to the Jaguars, as the linebacker criticized the officiating and said ‘there needs to be more accountability’ among refs.

Bosa was understandably upset after the 31-30 loss to the Jaguars, where the Chargers blew a 27-point lead and ultimately became the victims of the third-largest comeback in postseason history.

That comeback was aided by a late unsportsmanlike conduct penalty called on Bosa after he believed the refs missed a false start, which allowed the hosts to punch in a two-point conversion from the one-yard line and eventually win the game by a point.

Bosa – who also committed an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty at a different point in the game – said afterwards, ‘I think there just needs to be more accountability. ‘I mean if I say something to them I get a $40,000 fine, but if they blow a call that ruins an entire team’s season, they’re probably back in the locker room after the game like,

‘Haha got that ***hole. Yeah, got him. Fifteen yards, what a loser.”

Those comments were roundly criticized by Crosby, who called Bosa ‘weak’ for venting about the officiating after the game.

‘A couple of games ago, when f***ing dude had a meltdown and blamed the refs,’ Crosby said on Barstool’s Bussin’ With The Boys podcast. ‘I see dudes blaming, oh, f*** it, O-linemen hold all the time. Refs don’t call it.

‘I’ll never be that guy. S*** like that is so weak to me. You’re going to get held. I know I get held all the time. You watch the Rams’ last drive against us. I was getting literally tackled.

‘I’m not going to go and double down and look like a little f***ing crybaby,’ he said. ”That’s not me.’

Bosa did take some responsibility for his penalties after the loss, saying  ‘I think I need to be more accountable for my actions, obviously.

‘But it’s a heated game and I’m hurting out there, I’m playing on half a leg, I’m getting dragged to the ground. It could hurt me, along with screwing our team.
