Emma Bridgewater sold a range of kitchenware including mugs, plates and teapots to mark the late monarch’s 70 years on the throne. It was also boosted by strong sales through its website and growth in the US and China.

The firm has opened a new factory and distribution centre to meet demand.

Emma Bridgewater was set up in 1984 when its eponymous founder turned to pottery as a birthday gift for her mother. It now employs more than 400 in Stoke-on-Trent.
