A woman who claims she went to school with the Idaho murder suspect has spoken out about her shock that she knew him and had even spoken directly with him in the last five years.
Casey Arntz took to her TikTok page on Friday night and appeared to have been jolted by the news, visibly shaking as she posted pictures of the suspect and her many encounters with him.
Bryan Kohberger, 28, was arrested in Pennsylvania on Friday on a warrant for the first-degree murders of four Idaho students.
‘My brother was really good friends with him,’ Casey explained. ‘I’m shaking.’

She told how the last time she had spoken with Kohberger was five years ago when they ran into one another at a wedding when he appeared well after allegedly dabbling with drugs during high school.
‘Back in 2017 when I spoke to him he was clean,’ Casey said. ‘He was doing security detail at a school, I believe, but he seemed like he was better. Obviously that wasn’t true.’
Casey posted photos of the event where the pair met up once again noting how she sat next to him throughout the celebration.
‘At the same wedding he was sitting at the same table as me and my mother. I sat next to him and we talked.’
Later in the video, which has since been removed from TikTok, Casey explained how Kohberger randomly called on her to drive him around the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania in order to allegedly pick up drugs.

‘He nonchalantly decided to meet me driving round the Poconos for heroin and I had no idea. I thought I was doing a nice deed because he needed something [else].’
Casey’s brother, Thomas, described Kohberger as a ‘bully’ who would happily note his friends’ ‘flaws and insecurities’ in order to distract from his own weight struggled.
‘He did that to me all the time,’ Thomas told The Daily Beast. ‘He would go after my intelligence. He would basically insinuate that I’m kind of slow-witted and that I’m forgetful and that I lack the intelligence to be his friend.’
Thomas finally cut off the friendship after the continuous bullying. He noted how his father, a maintenance worker, and mother, a substitute teacher, were ‘genuinely kind people.’

‘He was mean-spirited, he was a bully. I never thought he would do something like that but at the same time it doesn’t really surprise me,’ Thomas added.
Those who lived near Kohberger reflected on the suspect’s capture.
Justin Williams, a 34-year-old Washington State University told Fox News he had occasionally saw Kohberger in the neighborhood while picking up his mail.
‘I’d see him go check his mail, that was it. Other than that, I’ve only seen him like twice the whole time, and I’ve lived here since July 2021,’ said Justin Williams, who lived in a building next to where Kohberger’s was.
Although he claims to have never noticed anything unusual, it begged the question: ‘How long has he f****** been here? Has he been here the whole time that I have?’ he asked.
Across the country, 2,500 miles away, SWAT teams descended on a sleepy residential community in Pennsylvania in the early hours of Friday morning where they arrested Kohberger more than a month after four university students were slain in their beds.
Latah County Prosecutor Bill Thompson said investigators believe Kohberger broke into the students’ home ‘with the intent to commit murder.’
Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, and Xana Kernodle, 20, were stabbed to death along with Xana’s freshman boyfriend, Ethan Chapin, 20, in Moscow, Idaho last month.

Police say DNA evidence links Kohberger to the scene. Kohberger was a PhD student in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Washington State University, which is a short drive across the state line from the University of Idaho.
Friday’s arrest is the first major break in the case – with Kohberger asking if ‘anyone else was arrested’ when he was taken into custody. An extradition hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
During a press conference on Friday authorities confirmed that a white Hyundai Elantra was discovered in the search – with sources saying it was towed from outside Kohberger’s home.
Law enforcement sources told CNN that his DNA was discovered at the scene of the crime – with officers managing to track down who owned the car seen in the area of the slayings.
However, Kohberger has no prior arrests, according to public records, so it is unclear how officials got hold of his DNA.
