More than 100 injured after train collision – emergency services descend on station

Over one hundred people have been injured in a collision between two trains in Catalonia, Spain. The two trains derailed at Montcada i Reixac station, at 7.50am today. Emergency services have raced to the scene and the fire department report that both trains have been fully evacuated.

Seven crews remain at the scene while professionals help to move the injured into ambulances. 

According to the latest data provided by the Medical Emergency System, there are about 150 injuries as a result of the crash, although most of these are “minor”.
