Going, going, gone.
Items owned by the late Fleetwood Mac member Christine McVie raked in the big bucks this weekend at an event by Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills.
Two of the vocalist/keyboardist’s dresses were sold: a vintage maxi number she wore for the “Rumours” album went for $56,250, and the polka dot chiffon dress McVie sported at the 1976 Rock Music Awards brought $31,250.
Her instruments and stage gear — including McVie’s Leslie speaker and her microphones, two organs and an electric baby grand piano — brought in nearly $200,000.
The “Songbird” writer’s ex-husband, John McVie, also had his guitars and bass in the auction, which sold for close to $250,000.
Mick Fleetwood’s iconic wooden balls — which graced the cover of the “Rumours” album — rolled in $128,000.
McVie died in a hospital on Nov. 30 following a “short illness.” She was 79.
Her band members released a joint statement, as well as individual tributes, upon her death.
“She was truly one-of-a-kind, special and talented beyond measure. She was the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life,” Fleetwood Mac wrote in a statement posted to their Twitter account.
“For over four decades, we helped each other create a beautiful body of work and a lasting legacy that continues to resonate today. I feel very lucky to have known her. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on through that body of work and that legacy,” Lindsey Buckingham, 73, remembered his bandmate.
Stevie Nicks, 74, also penned a handwritten note shortly after news of McVie’s death broke.
“I didn’t even know she was ill … until late Saturday night,” Nicks revealed about her “best friend in the whole world.”
Nicks then wrote out the lyrics to Haim’s 2019 track “Hallelujah,” including this touching verse, “I had a best friend but she has come to pass / One I wish I could see now / You always remind me that memories will last / These arms reach out.”
