Award-winning comedy-drama The White Lotus returned last month for its second outing on HBO in the USA and Sky Atlantic in the UK. The series sees some familiar faces join up with new characters for this latest series, taking place at another grand hotel. Where is The White Lotus filmed?
Most of the filming for The White Lotus season two took place at the Four Seasons Hotel, San Domenico Palace, Taormina, on the north-east coast of Sicily.
Situated on a clifftop, overlooking the Ionian Sea and Mount Etna, the San Domenico was built on the site of 15th Century monastery.
The building was refurbished last year and became a member of the Four Seasons Group but had previously welcomed some of the greats through its doors.
These have included Audrey Hepburn, Oscar Wilde and King Edward VII, just to name a few.

Season one of The White Lotus had been filmed in the same location throughout due to the filming restrictions put in place thanks to COVID-19.
So this time around, creator Mike White was thankful that they were able to explore more of the local area.
He told Entertainment Weekly: “I’m not going to complain about being at the Four Seasons Maui, but you do start to feel like it was a Hawaiian Shining.
“It was cool this season to be able to feature more of the city and some of the iconic places in Sicily. The canvas gets much bigger and that’s a huge improvement.”
Another key location used for series two was the coastal town of Cefalù which is close to Palermo.
The harbour was seen in the film Cinema Paradiso as the venue for an outdoor screening of Kirk Douglas’s Ulysses.
So The White Lotus season two is truly littered with a number of high-profile and beautiful locations.
Unfortunately for fans, the comedy-drama is soon once again coming to an end.
The White Lotus has aired its penultimate episode Abductions in the USA and will air in the UK on Monday, December 5, on Sky Atlantic.
After this, there is just one more episode to look forward to which is coming out first at the weekend.
There is no need to be concerned regarding its future, thankfully, as The White Lotus will be returning for a third season.
