M&S makes menswear Xmas push: Retailer adding clothing from Ted Baker, Superdry, Lyle and Scott and Musto to M&S.com

Marks and Spencer is boosting its menswear offering in time for the Christmas shopping period.

The retailer is this month adding clothing from Ted Baker, Superdry (right), Lyle and Scott and Musto to M&S.com. It will offer the brands’ casualwear, outerwear, and accessories as bosses look to attract more male shoppers.

Ben Sherman, Farah and Jack and Jones are already sold through the firm’s ‘Brands at M&S’ strategy, which spans 50 third-party retailers. The additions take its third-party menswear firms to 17.

The strategy reflects the overhaul of its clothing and home offering, with sales rising 14 per cent in the first half of the year.

Third-party brands account for 4.1 per cent of its clothing and home sales, bringing in £70m of revenue in the past year.

M&S’s clothing and home boss Richard Price said there had been an ‘incredible response’ to the introduction of the brands.
