A former model uses her social media accounts to dish her anti-ageing secrets. The 48-year-old looks incredible for her age with glowing, wrinkle-free skin.

The former model uses her TikTok account @therealmichellesilva, where she has 54,000 followers, to discuss her tips and tricks for how to look younger.

Michelle Silva recently shared three vital tips to look younger, urging people not to rely solely on skin care to look youthful. She explained: “You can’t just rely on skincare to get that ultimate glow that vibrant, youthful complexion. There’s more to it.

“Here are the three main things I’ve done to my 48-year-old skin that keeps it looking like it’s in its 30s.”

Three ways to keep your skin looking 10 years younger

Number one: Preventing premature ageing

“If you want to preserve your face the sun is your skin’s worst enemy,” Michelle said, “it doesn’t matter what products you put on your face. If UV rays are damaging your skin cells, you’re defeating the purpose and you’re throwing away your money.”

To protect skin from the sun it’s important to keep your face in the shade, avoid strong sunlight, and don’t tan. Wear a UV-protective product every day.

Number three: Positive affirmations

“How you think of yourself ageing will show up every day as a version of your thoughts,” Michelle claims. She said: “If you’re feeling old, guess what? You will wake up in the morning or look in the mirror and you will be old.

“Now I know this sounds like bull****. But if you start telling yourself, ‘I feel young I feel 10 years younger than my age my skin is radiant. I’m ageing gracefully. Eventually, through practice and belief, you will see a difference.'”

Michelle recently detailed an anti-ageing product she has used for the past 20 years to keep her skin looking younger. She refers to it as her “fountain of youth”.

The former model claimed retinol is the “gold standard” for anti-ageing skin care and credits it for her amazing complexion.

She said: “You can ask any skincare professional. Retinol remains the gold standard in anti-ageing. It’s been the anti-ageing ingredient that I’ve relied on to boost my collagen production.

“It has been my fountain of youth. After 20 years of consistent usage, I can see the true benefits.”
