‘Works in an hour!’ Dissolve ‘thick’ toilet limescale with ‘essential’ cleaning staple

Mrs Hinch fans are not alone in suggesting dishwasher tablets can be used to clean toilets, even cleaning experts at Kitchn recommended using this cleaning staple to remove toilet limescale.

They said: “When it’s time to tackle the bathroom, start by dropping a dishwasher tablet into the toilet bowl.

“Then, do the sink, floors, and shower, and save the toilet for last. This way, the tablet will have had time to dissolve a bit and should make scrubbing the toilet bowl a breeze. You can also use the tablet to erase rings left behind by hard water.”

Dishwasher tablets relatively inexpensive as a pack of 30 can be purchased from Asda for £3. This works out as 1p per tablet. Britons can also buy the powder tablets from Wilko for a pack of 40 for £3.
