The woman he allegedly raped approached Mr Games and his girlfriend at the hotel’s main pool and asked to borrow a charger at around 8pm on October 25, a police report said.

It said Games offered to help but insisted on taking the charger to her hotel room.

When they were inside he asked her for a coffee before pushing her onto the bed so she was face down and forced her to have sex with him, the report added.

The alleged rape was reported to Hanover police and Mr Games was identified in a police lineup.

He appeared at Lucea Parish Court on Wednesday.
