Just when you think BravoCon couldn’t come up with more housewife twists, it hits us with the news of a spin-off series for The Real Housewives Of New York starring Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan that’s been a long time coming! While the future of the NYC women on Bravo is in flux (no casting has yet been announced for RHONY: Legacy), fans will be thrilled with the news that Luann and Sonja will be back on their screens with Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake sometime in 2023.
Whether in New York City or exotic places like Dubai (that camel trip!), Cartagena, Colombia (the boat ride from hell!) and yes, even the Berkshires (Bluestone Manor is still shaking!), the antics of Luann and Sonja are legendary. Now, these Manhattanites are packing their bags and heading to the small-town of Benton, Illinois, for some good old-fashion country living and a secret mission.
Unbeknownst to the locals, the Benton town council has invited Bravolebrities Luann and Sonja to move to Benton (temporarily) and help rejuvenate their home town, which has a population just under 7,000. Hilarity ensues as these two big-city ladies adjust to the local motel and to the down-to-earth townsfolk. From building a new playground to revitalizing the local theater with a full-on variety show (with no doubt a cabaret number or two), Luann and Sonja embrace their new temporary home and get to work.
Audiences will enjoy these fan-favorites being totally out of their element whether they are searching for the town’s famous crappie fish in the lake or driving monster trucks. Bravoholics know one thing for sure – wherever Luann and Sonja go, hijinks and laughter are sure to follow.
