Olivia Wilde commands attention in sexy red suit as she steps out in NYC

She has been generating headlines ever since becoming entangled in controversy over her new film Don’t Worry Darling.

But there really was no missing Olivia Wilde on Tuesday night.

The actress, 38, was looking her best in a bold red suit as she headed out in downtown Manhattan.

The stunning suit featured a plunging neckline which flashed a hint of cleavage and billowing trousers that concealed her footwear.

Her brunette tresses cascaded down in voluminous waves and a trace of makeup made her natural beauty pop even more.

She beamed with joy as she ventured outside carrying a can of Coca-Cola with a chic black purse hanging from her arm.

Olivia was also spotted earlier that day in Manhattan following a workout.

The Drinking Buddies actress wore a blue ‘New York Dolls’ tank top, black leggings, and pair of shades.

She appeared deep in thought as she strode through the concrete jungle in her trainers.

A bright red tote bag was slung over her shoulder as she carried her cellphone.

The latest sightings come after more drama was generated following the NYC premiere of Don’t Worry Darling.

While Olivia, her boyfriend Harry Style, and fellow co-stars Gemma Chan and Sydney Chandler were all in attendance, stars Florence Pugh and Chris Pine were noticeably absent from the red carpet.

Again, Styles and Wilde appeared keen to shrug off any signs of upset, although the pair were seen exchanging several intense glances during the red carpet, with the singer-turned-actor at one point appearing to glare at his girlfriend with a furrowed brow – the only sign of distress that was visible throughout the evening.

Pugh and Pine’s absence from the red carpet event comes in the wake of multiple reports of on-set fall-outs between the movie’s stars, its director Wilde, and actor Shia LaBeouf – who was initially cast alongside Pugh in the lead male role.

The first controversy arose after Styles and Wilde went public with their relationship when they were seen holding hands at a wedding in California in January 2021, following weeks of speculation that the pair were an item.

Eyebrows were raised, however, over just how quickly Wilde had moved on from her ex-fiancé, Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis, whom she split from in November 2020.

Wilde recently hit out at claims that there was any crossover in her relationships, telling Vanity Fair magazine: ‘The complete horses**t idea that I left Jason for Harry is completely inaccurate.

‘Like any relationship that ends, it doesn’t end overnight. Unfortunately, Jason and I had a very bumpy road, and we officially dissolved the relationship towards the beginning of the pandemic.’

That split became the source of more scandal when Wilde was served with legal papers for the pair’s custody battle over their two kids, Otis, eight, and Daisy, five, in front of hundreds of spectators while doing a talk at CinemaCon in Las Vegas in April, a move that she later slammed as ‘aggressive’ and ‘threatening’.

Then, Wilde became embroiled in a bitter war of words with LaBeouf, after claiming that she had fired him from the project over concerns about his ‘combative energy’, claiming that she made the decision out of a desire to ‘protect’ leading lady Pugh.

However, LaBeouf hit back at the director’s claims, insisting that he had actually stepped down from the movie because he didn’t feel he’d had enough time to rehearse with the rest of the cast – while sharing text conversations with Wilde that seemed to serve as evidence for his side of the argument.

Claims about an on-set feud between Wilde and Pugh have also continued to dog the movie’s release, with sources suggesting that 26-year-old Pugh felt ‘uncomfortable’ about the director’s on-set relationship with Styles.

‘Flo seeing Olivia and Harry all over each other on set did not go down well as Olivia was still with Jason when she first hooked up with Harry,’ an insider claimed to Page Six.

‘Jason and the kids visited Olivia on set at the beginning a few times, so I think this all made people feel a little uncomfortable.’

Pugh then admitted in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that she was unhappy with the way in which the movie’s trailer highlighted the sex scenes in the flick, saying that she felt as though the clip had ‘reduced’ Don’t Worry Darling to the most graphic aspects.

Not winning over critics: To add insult to injury, all of the scandal surrounding the movie appears to have done little to help it win over the critics; Don't Worry Darling currently has a dismal 34 per cent critic approval rating (out of 64 reviews) on Rotten Tomatoes

‘When it’s reduced to your sex scenes, or to watch the most famous man in the world go down on someone, it’s not why we do it. It’s not why I’m in this industry,’ she said. ‘Obviously, the nature of hiring the most famous pop star in the world, you’re going to have conversations like that. That’s just not what I’m going to be discussing because [this movie is] bigger and better than that. And the people who made it are bigger and better than that.’

In one of the more bizarre twists in the Don’t Worry Darling saga, video then emerged from the Venice Film Festival in which Styles appeared to spit on his co-star Pine while taking his seat at a screening of the movie on September 5.

The clip showed Styles making his way to his seat next to Chris, who was already seated and clapping, before instantly stopping and scowling when his co-star approached. Despite thousands of viewers insisting that they had seen Styles ‘spitting’ on Pine, a representative for the latter later spoke out to vehemently deny that any ‘spitting’ had taken place.

To add insult to injury, all of the scandal surrounding the movie appears to have done little to help it win over the critics; Don’t Worry Darling currently has a dismal 35 per cent critic approval rating (out of 80 reviews) on Rotten Tomatoes.
