Chelsea Clinton slams ex-pal Ivanka Trump: ‘She went to the dark side’

Chelsea Clinton has blasted Ivanka Trump, saying she hasn’t spoken to her former friend since she “crossed to the dark side” almost six years ago.

Chelsea, 42, offered the revelation in an interview on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” Thursday night, where she was joined by mom, Hillary, 74.

“I would say we were friends,” Chelsea said of her relationship with Ivanka, 40. “She’s not the person I called when I was curious about something for my kids or if I was debating a life decision, but we were definitely friends. And then she went to the dark side.”

The pair last spoke in November 2016, shortly after Chelsea’s mom lost the presidential election to Ivanka’s dad, Donald.

During the sit-down with Andy Cohen, Chelsea also insinuated that Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, lied about a claim in his new book “Breaking History.”

Jared wrote that Ivanka had reached out to Chelsea after the bitter 2016 election inviting her over for dinner so that they continue having a “cordial relationship.”

“‘It is true that I spoke to Ivanka in November 2016, it’s the last time I have spoken to her,” Chelsea stated. “But I do not recall being invited to dinner.”

The pair — who both have three children around the same age — were pals for years before politics came between them. The Post has reached out to reps for Trump for comment on Clinton’s latest revelations.

In 2015, Chelsea told People: “Friendship is always more important than politics. I learned that growing up, watching my parents be friends with people across the political spectrum in Arkansas.”

Later that year she told Vogue: “I still consider her [Ivanka] a very close friend, and she considers me as well. We have a great relationship.”

“She’s always aware of everyone around her and ensuring that everyone is enjoying the moment.” Chelsea continued. “It’s an awareness that in some ways reminds me of my dad, and his ability to increase the joy of the room. There’s nothing skin-deep about Ivanka.”

In August 2016, three months before the election, Ivanka told Harper’s Bazaar: “I still consider her a very close friend, and she considers me as well. We have a great relationship.”

“I’m not running for public office, and neither is she, so of course we’re still friends,” she added.

However, Chelsea later changed her tune, telling Andy Cohen in 2020: “I have no interest in being friends with someone who is not only complicit but actively taking part in this administration’s every day collision of cruelty and incompetence.”

Ivanka Trump has reportedly agreed to appear before the House Select Committee to answer questions regarding communications with her father on January 6, 2021.

She added: “We were in touch at the beginning of the campaign, but it’s just really hard when there’s someone who’s actively embracing their candidate, whether it’s their father or not, who is trafficking in racism and sexism and anti-Semitism and Islamophobia and homophobia and transphobia and conspiracy theories and lies and is so fundamentally corrupt.”

Chelsea has been in the headlines this week, joining mom Hillary on the talk show circuit to promote their new Apple TV+ series “Gusty.”

Earlier this week, Chelsea told the women of “The View” that Donald Trump has “mainlined hate” in America. Meanwhile, Hillary was roasted for comments made on the same show about Trump’s possession of classified documents, given her own history of having work emails on a private server.
