Another tip of the cleaning expert details how to wash towels and keep them “soft, fresh and fluffy”.
Instead of using a fabric conditioner, use white vinegar. Lynsey said fabric conditioner wears down fibres of the towels because it is heavy. This does the opposite of making them soft. What’s more, it reduces the absorbency of your towels, which could also lead to your towels shedding in the future.
She also suggested washing towels after every couple of uses, added: “towels pick up bacteria very quickly and can start to smell.”
Vinegar will help to strip bacteria off of towel effectively and prevent it from building up again.
