Olivia Wilde has slammed her ex-fiance Jason Sudeikis for infamously serving her custody papers in front of a large audience while onstage at the 2022 CinemaCon back in April.
The 38-year-old actress called the ugly public incident involving the father of her two children – eight-year-old Otis and five-year-old Daisy – an ‘attack in my workplace’ while insisting that she was not surprised by how it all went down as she insinuated that there was a ‘reason’ that she left that relationship.
Four months ago Olivia was presenting at the event in Las Vegas to promote her upcoming film Don’t Worry Darling when she was ambushed with a petition from Jason in which he asked for their to eventually reside with him in New York.
The actress slammed her ex-fiance for the way it happened as she told Variety in her cover story: ‘It was my workplace. In any other workplace, it would be seen as an attack.

‘It was really upsetting. It shouldn’t have been able to happen. There was a huge breach in security, which is really scary.
‘The hurdles that you had to jump through to get into that room with several badges, plus special COVID tests that had to be taken days in advance, which gave you wristbands that were necessary to gain access to the event — this was something that required forethought.’
Olivia and Jason were in a relationship for nearly a decade from 2011 to 2020 and she blasted her ex for serving her in such a public way at Cinemacon.

The House star did not hold back as she explained: ‘To try to sabotage that was really vicious. But I had a job to do; I’m not easily distracted.
‘But, you know, sadly, it was not something that was entirely surprising to me. I mean, there’s a reason I left that relationship.’
A source close to the former couple told DailyMail.com exclusively back in April that Jason had ‘no idea’ the papers were being served to her in that way.
‘Jason had no idea that this was happening,’ the insider shared. ‘Nobody knew until the photos suddenly appeared. He is appalled about the whole thing and never would have wanted Olivia to be put in this kind of situation.
Olivia and Jason (seen with their kids in February 2020) were in a relationship for nearly a decade from 2011 to 2020 and she believes their children are the victims in all of this as she said: ‘The only people who suffered were my kids, because they’ll have to see that, and they shouldn’t ever have to know that happened
‘His sole priority is their children and making sure that they are safe and happy.’
She is currently dating One Direction boybander and star of her latest film Harry Styles, 28, as the two have been romantically linked since January 2021.
Regardless the star was able to shake off any feelings she had about being given the documents onstage and focus on the task at hand.
She said: ‘I hated that this nastiness distracted from the work of so many different people and the studio that I was up there representing.’
The Booksmart director got candid as she said that the children they share together are the only real victims in the ugliness between the former couple.
Olivia said: ‘The only people who suffered were my kids, because they’ll have to see that, and they shouldn’t ever have to know that happened. For me, it was appalling, but the victims were an 8- and 5-year-old, and that’s really sad.

Olivia said that when she has custody of the two (seen in an Instagram photo), she spends quality time with them as she makes them breakfast, never misses bedtime, and even takes them to school as she gushed: ‘They are my world. They are my best friends’
‘I chose to become an actress; I willingly walked into the spotlight. But it’s not something my children have asked for. And when my kids are dragged into it, it’s deeply painful.’
The actress also revealed that she splits custody with Jason as their kids go back and forth between them week to week.
Olivia said that when she has custody of the two, she spends quality time with them as she makes them breakfast, never misses bedtime, and even takes them to school as she gushed: ‘They are my world. They are my best friends.’
