Jake Paul never shies away from a challenge but on Tuesday night, the YouTuber turned Boxer might have wished that for once, he had taken a back seat.

Paul was given the chance to take part in batting practice before the Miami Marlins played against the San Diego Padres at Marlins Park.

It didn’t quite go to plan.

Footage surfaced on Twitter of Paul repeatedly swinging and missing at the ball.

Wearing his own Marlins shirt with ‘Paul 50’ on the back, he even shouts out in frustration at one point after an air shot.

A video on his other Twitter account, betr, showed him getting tips form coaches and saying tot he camera ‘Ooh man these sports are harder than it looks’.

Later, when the first video emerged on social media, Paul appeared to jokingly claim that it had been edited.

‘Alright so the video of me missing all of the swings is edited guys, I hit a home run but the cameras weren’t rolling for that,’ he said.

I hit it a couple of times, I’m better than that, what do you mean?’

He then later shared a video of him miming pretending to hit a home run and showed off what his celebration would have been. 

Paul was also pictured throwing the first pitch before the game. 

When the professionals took to the field after Paul, the Marlines defeated San Diego 4-3.
