Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige revealed at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday that two new Avengers movies are in the works.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars are scheduled for release just six months apart in 2025, Variety reports.

They will arrive in theaters six years after the release of Avengers: Endgame, which soared to temporarily become the highest-grossing film of all time.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will bow May 2, 2025, then Avengers: Secret Wars will close out phase six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on November 7, 2025.

Evidently the movies draw their inspiration from two Marvel comics miniseries – one from the 1980s and another one from 2015.

Back in the 1980s, the Secret Wars series threw all of the Marvel superheroes together on a planet called Battleworld to fight among themselves.

Decades later in 2015, another version of Secret Wars fleshed out the idea with a storyline involving multiple universes.

Two universes somehow collide and obliterate one another, dumping their superheroes into a post-apocalyptic Battleworld universe.

The terrifying phenomenon of a Thor Corps — a group of every Thor from every different universe — is the police force in Battleworld.

Sitting atop the hierarchy of the Thor Corps is Sheriff Strange, an alter ego for one version of Stephen Strange aka Doctor Strange.

Kevin Feige this Saturday announced an eye-watering array of films that will make up Phase Five and Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

At the moment, the MCU is coming upon the end of Phase Four, which will conclude in November with the debut of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Chadwick Boseman, who played Black Panther, died tragically in 2020 at the age of 43 after a secret cancer battle and his role has not been recast.

Phase Five of the MCU will involve a sensational cavalcade of comic book characters, a large portion of whom will presumably eventually face off in the Secret Wars.

A grand total of 12 movies and TV shows will make up the sum total of Phase Five before the MCU heads into the next chapter.

First will be the film Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania on February 17, 2023, then the Disney+ series Secret Invasion in the spring of 2023, Deadline reports.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will bow in movie theaters May 5, 2023, and that summer will see season two of Loki and season one of Echo bow on Disney+.

At the movies, The Marvels will come out July 28, 2023 and Blade with Mahershala Ali will make its debut November 3, 2023.

Back on Disney+, an Ironheart show will premiere in the fall of 2023, and that winter will see the arrival of the series Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

A show called Daredevil: Born Again will then roll onto Disney+ on 2024, after which the film Captain America: New World Order will hit theaters May 3, 2024.

In case the fans are not satiated by then, Phase Five has one more trick up its sleeve – the movie Thunderbolts, which will end the phase on July 26, 2024.

Phase Six will then kick off with a movie about the Fantastic Four in 2024, before concluding the following year with the brace of Avengers pictures.
