‘We love you Ivana’: Mourners leave heartfelt note on late socialite’s door

Mourners left flowers and even taped a heartfelt note to the front door of Ivana Trump’s Upper East Side apartment after the New York socialite and businesswoman tragically died earlier this week.

Passersby stopped to take photos and some left bouquets of flowers outside of Trump’s East 64th street home, where she was found dead on Thursday at the age of 73 after falling down the stairs.

“We love you Ivana!!! Thanks for your contribution to New York. Rest in Peace,” an anonymous note on the front door read. 

“We also Love Trump, OUR NEXT PRESIDENT!!” the note concluded, referencing Ivana’s ex-husband, former President Donald Trump.

The two share three children together: Don Jr., Ivanka and Eric.

Ivana Trump was found at the bottom of her staircase next to a spilled cup of coffee. She suffered “blunt impact injuries” to her torso, according to the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office. Her death, Her death, which resulted from either the fall or from going into cardiac arrest, was officially ruled an “accident.”

A close friend told The Post Trump had been suffering from hip pain and was unable to leave her home during her final two weeks. Other friends said she was  unsteady on her feet and needed a personal health aide to help walk around her neighborhood, other friends said.
