The Open LIVE: Tiger Woods latest at St Andrews as LIV rebels prepare for day one

Justin Thomas remains unwavered in his denouncement of LIV Golf, but has now grown “sick” of constant questions about the controversial tour.

LIV Golf has continued to threaten the shake-up of world golf with the likes of Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau among those to defect.

The PGA Tour have since banned those who have left for the lucrative Saudi-backed league with players facing constant questions at every event they attend.

Thomas has been one of several high-profile players to speak out against LIV Golf, but he’s now growing tired of the topic.

“I think it’s very obvious why we’re sick of talking about it because it is, it’s taking away from a lot of — whether it’s great storylines or just great things happening in the game of golf,” Thomas said at his pre-tournament press conference at The Open Championship at St Andrews.

“I mean, the U.S. Open was such a shame in the beginning of that week because there were so many other great storylines that should have been going on, but instead it wasn’t. And I think that’s probably what some of the frustration is from guys, answering a lot of the same questions.”
