Nick’s single-storey main house in Los Angeles is constructed of distinctive stonework, and is said to feature ‘palatial proportions’, with soaring 14-foot-high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and five fireplaces.

The 11,000 square-feet main house has 5 bedrooms including a 1,000 square-feet master wing with separate ‘his and hers’ en-suite bathrooms and dressing rooms, and an expansive family kitchen and informal dining area overlooking the gardens.

Estate agents boast that it has two magnificent living spaces featuring a Hollywood art deco bar with black and white pictures of big screen stars, and a formal lounge for entertaining with a wine room to ensure guests have their glasses kept full.

There is also a 1920s French regency-style 12-seater cinema, a tranquil study, and a spectacular playroom used by Candy’s two young daughters, featuring built-in Wendy House style rooms and a helter-skelter slide down into a ball pit.

The extensive grounds include art-deco inspired terraces, outdoor dining spaces and seven vintage inspired water features and fountains

There is also a swimming pool and jacuzzi with dancing jets, and a tennis court with a pavilion set into the hillside, featuring a rooftop terrace with views of Holmby Hills and beyond.

The newly-built three-storey guest house, described as the ‘most significant addition to the estate’, is nearly as large as the main house at 10,000 square-feet.

The guest accommodation adjacent to the main house features 1920s art deco interiors, five large bedroom suites across two floors with walk-in dressing rooms and balconies, seven bathrooms, a kitchen and living area, gymnasium, spa and steam room, and a car port for up to 15 cars.

Neighbours include American fashion designer Tom Ford who lives in the same street at the former home of socialite and philanthropist Betsy Bloomingdale.

Candy has made headlines in recent year as a Tory party donor and most recently backed Shaun Bailey in last year’s London mayoral election.

The property development company Candy & Candy was renamed as Candy Property in 2018 to reflect Nick Candy’s sole ownership.

He also has a private investment fund company Candy Ventures which has interests in a number of technology start-ups.
