Is the Funkoverse Strategy Game series more toy than game? Well, I just played it, and I’ll share my findings in my initial thoughts in this video.
Funko is best known for their line of collectible figurines. I even have a few adorning my shelves from various intellectual properties that give me the sentimental feels. They’re quirky collectibles, but I wouldn’t even call them toys – let alone game components. So, when I first heard about a new line of games that revolves around these nostalgic knick-knacks, I instinctively set my expectations for the game low. So, very, very low. I was expecting the toy factor to overpower any gameplay potential there may be. Was I disappointed? Find out as I discuss my experience with the Funkoverse series of board games!
