Doja Cat BLASTS Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp for sharing their private DMs

Doja Cat has hit out at Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp after he shared their private DMs, where she voiced a romantic interest in his co-star.

On Wednesday, Schnapp took to TikTok to post a now-deleted video that showcased private DMs between him and the 26-year-old singer, where she expressed a romantic interest in Stranger Things actor Joseph Quinn, 29.

But Doja Cat, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, has hit back at Schnapp, taking to Instagram Live on Thursday to call him out for his duplicitous act, but added that she didn’t want her fans to overreact, since Schnapp, 17, is ‘just a kid’.

She began by saying she tried to make a, ‘three-minute TikTok but it didn’t work,’ so she opted for an Instagram Live video, adding she hoped someone was recording the video.

Doja said it was ‘socially unaware’ for Schnapp to share their private conversation online but added that young people do ‘dumb s**t’ and ‘f**k up relationships with people’ in her ranting video.

‘I’m just gonna say something right now, about the whole f***ing Noah Schnapp thing,’ she began.

‘I think that… to be fair, let’s try to be chill about it,’ Doja started. ‘Like Noah is a kid, but, I don’t even know how old he is, but he can’t be over – like there’s no way he’s over 21,’ she added of the actor, who is only 17.

‘But when you’re that young, you make mistakes. You do dumb s**t. I’m like trying to be super fair,’ Doja continued.

‘You do dumb s**t, you say dumb s**t, you f***ing, f**k up relationships with people. You make mistakes,’ she added.

Doja went on to admit that she too has had her ‘share of f**k ups’ and learnt from her mistakes, before fuming that it was ‘like weasel s**t’ for him to share their chat online.

‘Like you’re supposed do that so that you know you’re not supposed to do that in the future. I did my share of f**k ups so that I don’t f**k up again,’ Doja continued, though her tone distinctly changed.

‘But the fact that Noah did that, like went and posted a private conversation between me and him is so unbelievably socially unaware and whack. That’s like borderline snake s**t, that’s like weasel s**t,’ she added.

‘And I’m not saying that that encapsulates his entire personality – like I don’t imagine Noah that way. Maybe he is, like a whole snake. But I didn’t see him that way,’ she said. 

‘I made an assumption that he was gonna be chill about it and he went and shared information that I didn’t feel comfortable with him sharing,’ she concluded.

Her comments came in response to Schnapp, who plays Will Byers in Stranger Things, sharing their conversation in a TikTok video, which has since been deleted.

The DM that Schnapp shared showed Doja Cat asking the actor: ‘Noah can u tell Joseph to hmu. wait no. does he have a gf?’

Schnapp responded, ‘LMAOO slide into his dms,’ but she said, ‘idk his IG or twitter he doesn’t have a DM to slide into’, before he provided Quinn’s handle for her.

Neither Schnapp nor Quinn have responded publicly to Doja Cat’s video at this time.

The Kiss Me More singer had previously complimented the appearance of Quinn – who plays Eddie Munson on Stranger Things – after a Twitter user posted a shot of the actor that read ‘Doja look how fine Joseph Quinn is.’

The Grammy-winning artist responded: ‘It’s f***ing criminal.’

In May, she also tweeted: ‘Joseph Quinn fine as s**t.’ 

Doja Cat’s love life has been something of a mystery to her fans.

Speaking with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden last year, she said that she wouldn’t publicly disclose who she’s dating until ‘it becomes real.’

In 2019, she was linked to singer Jawny, 26, as she opened up about how she learned about him in a joint Instagram Live session in September of 2019. 

She said, ‘I found his music video for ‘Honeypie,’ and I didn’t like the song. But I liked the way you moved. I don’t know. It was your pants. I was like, ‘Oh, I like your pants.”

The former couple collaborated on his song Anything You Want before splitting up in 2020.

Last year, singer Bree Runway, 29, shared a series of shots with herself and Doja Cat, writing, ‘You know I’m crazy about my WOMANNNN! Love youuuuu @dojacat best night everrrr.’

Doja Cat subsequently shared a few images of Runway, saying, ‘I have a girlfriend and I’m going public @breerunway.’
