Bret Michaels ‘hospitalized after suffering bad reaction to medication’ leading to cancellation of Poison’s Nashville show

Bret Michaels was hospitalized after suffering a bad reaction to a medication just before he was set to take the stage with his band Poison in Nashville on Thursday.

Members of the band — who are currently on a stadium tour with Def Leppard, Motley Crue and Joan Jett — took to the stage to announce Bret had been taken to the hospital, attendees allege, according to TMZ.

The band decided to refrain from performing that day in light of Bret’s absence.

The medical emergency happened just before their set, according to TMZ.

Citing insiders, the outlet reports that the rocker may have suffered a bad reaction to a COVID-related medication.

The medication may have triggered a reaction due to his diabetes.

It’s unknown how this will impact future dates, with Poison’s website still showing them set to perform at the TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida, on July 2, followed by a slew of other dates.

The band has not yet addressed Bret’s health issues on social media, but fans took to Twitter to wish the music icon well.
