The strip, boasting the traditional blue and garnet stripes we’ve come to expect, not only pays homage to the 30th Anniversary of the Olympics held in Barcelona – but also displays next year’s sponsors Spotify on the front in golden writing.

A statement on the club website said: ‘The kit launch campaign is also designed to reflect the spirit of Barcelona ’92, whereby the different graphic elements include a similar typography to the one used at the time, and includes the different messages that were used in the posters of 30 years ago.’

Twitter users were not shy to show their love for the new kit, with one fan boldly claiming: ‘We are winning the Treble next season’.

Another fan said: ‘Getting this beauty for sure’, whilst one user asked the club to announce the signing of Robert Lewandowski so that he can get order a shirt with the Polish forward’s name on the back.

Barcelona confirmed in March their iconic stadium will be renamed the ‘Spotify Nou Camp’ from next season, after securing a £237million sponsorship deal.

This marks the first time in the stadium’s 65-year history that Barcelona’s home ground will be rebranded – with the deal will also seeing the Spotify logo appear on the front of both the men’s and women’s team shirts for the start of next season.

The partnership will see Spotify and Barcelona work together to create a greater platform for artists around the world to showcase their music, potentially even holding events at the Nou Camp.
