Three people were stabbed at the Encino Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon.

The victims, some of which are reported to be medical workers, are all said to be in critical condition.

The attacker has barricaded themselves inside the hospital, according to Los Angeles police.  

LAPD say that SWAT teams have been notified about the situation.

The hospital has declared an ‘internal disaster,’ and is not admitting new patients or allowing visitors to enter.

The victims have been transferred to a separate hospital.
