Homes Under the Hammer buyer boosts property value by £20k with ‘wonderful’ kitchen update

The property had a “wonderful” new kitchen/diner, had been completely rewired, had new flooring and carpet laid and had been given a fresh coat of paint.

The bathroom had a new towel rack radiator installed and the box room had the boiler removed, making it feel bigger.

The boiler had been re-homed in the lean-to.

All the renovations were managed by Geoff’s long-time friend and carpenter, Tony.

Tony said the biggest challenge they had to overcome was the kitchen where they had to remove a wall.

He explained: “It had to come out because the kitchen was unworkable.

“The second problem was getting the water from the right-hand side to the left.

“We overcame that then, it speaks for itself.”

Geoff said he was “over the moon” with how the property had turned out.

The property investor spent more than his £12,000 budget, spending, in total, just below £18,000.
