Heart-stopping moment mysterious underwater monster crashes into surfer in the middle of the ocean

A surfer has captured the terrifying moment his board was knocked around by a mysterious creature.
Renowned bodyboarder Dan Leyshon was going for a surf at Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast on Monday when the incident unfolded.
In the clip, the avid surfer can be seen sitting up on his board waiting for a set before he is suddenly bumped with considerable force.
After frantically turning around, Leyshon was relieved the mysterious creature didn’t surface above the water.

Dan Leyshon later shared the footage on TikTok from Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast, and has already amassed over 185,000 views online
Leyshon wasted no time leaving the scene, and then can be heard stating ‘what was that…I’m out of here.’
It is unknown what bumped Leyshon’s surfboard – and he responded to one TikTok message asking if it was a shark by stating ‘hi bro, I didn’t get to see it properly.’
In 2015, Aussie surfing royalty Mick Fanning miraculously survived after a great white shark attacked him on live television.
Fanning, a three-time world champion, was competing at Jeffreys Bay in South Africa when he fought off the three-metre predator midway through the final against fellow Australian Julian Wilson.
Remarkably, Fanning was back surfing less than a week after the attack.
‘I literally just jumped away and it just kept coming at my board and I was kicking and swimming,’ the 40-year-old said at the time.
‘I just saw fin – I didn’t see the teeth, I was waiting for some teeth to come at me as I was swimming. I punched it in the back.
‘Then all of a sudden my leg rope broke and I was screaming.
‘I was swimming in and I had this thought what if it comes for another go at me? So I turned around, so I could at least see it, and before I knew it the boat was there, the jet skis were there. I just can’t believe it.’
