‘I am the most entertaining lightweight on the planet. I want to up the stakes, Conor. I want you at your biggest, I want you at your baddest and I want you at your best.

‘You and me, at 170, this summer, this fall, this winter.’

And within minutes, Notorious took to Twitter to provide a positive response and predicted a memorable contest.

He wrote: ‘I’d have a nice knock off this guy, no doubt about it. A firework spectacle.

‘I like the 170 shout also. Tipped him over.

‘I’m definitely game to fight this guy at some stage in my career. I see it happening after tonight.

‘Congrats on a solid win Michael and another barnstormer.’

Notorious didn’t have much sympathy for Ferguson, however, comparing his contorted face as the kick made contact with a McDonald’s chicken nugget.

He said: ‘If you pulled that out of a McDonald’s bag you’d dip it in sauce and eat without a moments thoughts. No doubt. That would pass as a legit @McDonalds chicken nugget. That’s crazy!’

Charles Oliveira also called out McGregor and it seems the Irishman is assessing his options. He later wrote: ‘I’m not sure I wish to cut the weight. I am really enjoying being built like a refrigerator. I feel I want to fight at this size just to watch it back lol. But I’d love to fight the Brazilian, 100%! I love Brazil and I’m unbeaten against Brazil. All KO’s. I’ve some thinking to do.’

McGregor is finally back in training after his leg break fighting Dustin Poirier back in July 2021, sparring for the first time last month ahead of a possible comeback this summer.

But it remains to be seen if the Irishman can cut down to lightweight in order to accept Chandler’s challenge.

The Irishman is planning to make a comeback this summer and has set his sights on a potential showdown with welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.
