Police released a video clip that shows the man walking down the sidewalk holding a baby carrier covered by a white blanket.

‘The family does not recognize this suspect,’ police said in a Twitter post.

‘In that short amount of time, someone entered the apartment and left with the baby.’

The child’s mother was at work at the time and the father is in prison.

Authorities have not issued an Amber Alert because investigators do not have a vehicle description.

Police said the suspect is believed to be a Hispanic male who was wearing black pants and a dark blue shirt and grey shoes.

They added he did not appear to be unkempt or a vagrant.

Brandon was last seen wearing a white long-sleeved onesie with dinosaurs.

In the early hours, police said officers and FBI agents are going door to door in the neighborhood to appeal for witnesses or information.

They said: ‘All available resources are assisting with this investigation.’

Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators on 408-277-4166.
