Rebel Wilson denies going on Mayr Method diet: Don’t ‘get scammed’

Rebel Wilson denied reports that she accomplished her total body transformation by following the Mayr Method diet.

“This was NEVER my diet, please stop writing this stuff,” the actress, 42, wrote on her Instagram Story Monday over a screenshot of a Daily Mail story claiming she had turned to the plan to lose weight.

Wilson, 42, explained in a follow-up post that she has “NEVER endorsed any diet pills or magic weight loss pills” — or cryptocurrency for that matter.

“If you see stuff like this online please report it as a scam – do not send it to me as a DM – report it on the social media site you see it on when you see it,” she wrote. “If I’m endorsing something you’ll see it only as official posts on my official and verified social media.”

The “Pitch Perfect” star then thanked her fans for their support and expressed how she does not want them to fall for the false narratives about her online.

“it’s really annoying when people use my image unlawfully or in misleading ways,” she wrote. “Do NOT want anyone to get scammed. Love you guys xoxo.”

The Mayr Method is a “14-day program that focuses on enhancing gut health,” according to Healthline. It encourages followers to stay away from caffeine, gluten, dairy and processed foods and pushes more of a focus on fruits, vegetables and high-protein foods like salmon and chicken.

The plan also recommends that dieters eat their biggest meal in the morning and stop eating after 7 p.m.

Wilson slimmed down after embarking on a year of health in January 2020. By that November, she shared that she had reached her goal weight.

The “Isn’t It Romantic” star has contributed her weight loss to sticking to a high-protein diet and switching up her exercise routine.

She revealed in March 2021 that she had decided to lose weight to combat her struggle with fertility.

After shedding the extra pounds, Wilson dated the heir to the Anheuser-Busch fortune, Jacob Busch, for a few months before calling things off in February 2021.

She was more recently seen dining with Aussie tennis player Matt Reid in December, but the duo have not confirmed whether they are an item.
