Putin has suffered another blow as troops have been forced to retreat to Belarus after suffering heavy losses.
The Ministry of Defence’s latest intelligence update suggests this move underlines issues Russia is having reorganising units within Ukraine.
On Friday, Russia announced it is shifting strategy and that the “main goal” of its “special operation” is now “liberating” the Donbas region.
The Ministry of Defence states that this change of tactic “is likely a tacit admission that it is struggling to sustain more than one significant axis of advance”.
