MTA contractor slugged during fight at NYC subway station: cops

An MTA contractor was slugged in the face during an argument at a Manhattan subway station on Friday morning, cops said.

The 26-year-old agent was near the booth at the West 4th Street-Washington Square station just before 11 a.m. when he and a man got into a fight, police said.

The assailant punched the worker before fleeing, cops said. He was described as a man in his 40s, last seen wearing a brown jacket, black hooded sweater and dark pants.

The victim refused medical attention, according to police.

The nature of the dispute was unclear. No arrests had been made hours later.

The Post has reached out to the MTA for comment.
