A spring break football drill almost erupted into a full-scale brawl on Wednesday after two men got too physical with one another on Fort Lauderdale Beach.
It began after a group of men in the crowd even started a countdown, initiating when the tackler, who was wearing a blue swimsuit and the one with the football, wearing yellow, could finally lock heads.
After the two men collided, the one in blue was seen still trying to grab the football from his rival’s hands, even after the game was over.
He then held on to his opponent’s swim trunks and leg before being shaken off. The two competitors were then seen fighting each other on the sand, with the one in blue lying on top of the student in yellow.
The fight dragged on until observants in the crowd broke both men up, who were also exchanging words to one another.
Elsewhere, music blared, students drank and danced in what will likely be the biggest spring break celebrations ever, as America finally returns to normal as the COVID pandemic recedes.
Throngs of young adults wearing colorful swim trunks and bikinis were not put off by local beach patrol surveilling the area on horseback throughout the day.
Some were spotted playing ball games in the water while others were seen casually walking along the beach with surfboards. A group of young men also ran football drills in front of a large crowd on the beach.

Other revelers were seen having a much better time, as they were soaking up the sunshine while day-drinking, shot-gunning beers, doing cartwheels and dancing nearby.
Fort Lauderdale and Miami Beach police departments have increased the number of police officers patrolling tourist hotspots during the break this year and many will be working overtime.
While 2020 saw a dismal 1,500 people a day flying to Florida and 2021 saw a crowd of about 65,000 Spring Breakers, the Tampa Bay Times estimated that 570,000 students will be on vacation in the Sunshine State to party on the beaches this year.

In Texas, thousands of spring breakers from throughout the country have left their books behind and descended on South Padre Island to party, have a good time and enjoy the music.
Students were observed students dancing, chugging beer and smoking, and had long forgotten about finals week.
During the festivities on the sleepy island, many hip hop artists and DJs from around the world will be spinning record remixes.
Chad Hart, who founded Inertia Tours told KRGV that there have been a lot more bookings in the area this year compared to last year.
‘Our numbers aren’t as good as four years ago, but they’re better than three years ago,’ Hart told the Rio Grande Valley outlet. ‘So that’s a positive sign. The student market is coming back to South Padre Island.’
Hart, who provides students with accommodation during their week of fun, added that many students made reservations ranging from seven months to a year in advance.
‘Our Texas week numbers are very good,’ Hart said. ‘All the condos down here are pretty much sold out.’

Other business owners on the island said they predicted this year’s numbers to break records set before the coronavirus pandemic.
‘We expect it to be higher,’ Holiday Inn Beach Resort General Manager Rene Valdez said. ‘Looking at the numbers from last year and me being on the island for so many years, the numbers are usually a bit higher.’
Valdez said that the hotel is already booked at 74 percent occupancy, but wants to see more students in the area once the weather gets warmer.
