Aaron Rodgers reflects on love after Shailene Woodley split: ‘I give you the truth’

It seems Aaron Rodgers believes the “rarest gift you can give is love.”

The NFL star, 38, shared some inspirational words to his Instagram Story less than a week after calling it quits with actress, Shailene Woodley.

“The rarest gift you can give, is Love,” the quote, by motivational speaker Aubrey Marcus, began.

“I Love you no matter what, just as you are, and you are always forgiven,” it continues. “I expect nothing and am grateful for everything. I give you the truth only and always. You are learning in the perfect way.”

Rodgers re-shared the quote to his story on Sunday, along with two red heart emojis.

The meaningful words came just a few days after the four-time MVP Award winner ended his engagement to Woodley, 30.

A source close to Rodgers told People last week that their split was “amicable.”

“They’re very different people with busy careers, and there were obstacles that they couldn’t surmount,” the insider said, adding, “They will remain friendly; there’s no bad blood and no drama. It just didn’t work out for them.”

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that things may have been on the rocks back in December when the “Divergent” alum didn’t appear to join Rodgers for his birthday celebrations.

An insider told People at the time that they were “still together” but had “a different, non-traditional relationship.” The source noted that they don’t post about each other’s birthdays because they are just “very private about things.” They also reportedly did not agree on political issues.

The split came one year after the couple confirmed their engagement in February 2021.

Woodley previously dated rugby player Ben Volavola from 2018 to 2020, while Rodgers was linked to Olivia Munn from 2014 to 2017 and to Danica Patrick from 2018 to 2020.
