'A transformation and a half': Incredible DIY kitchen renovation after extension

A DIY kitchen renovation has impressed fans of one couple who have transformed their 1930’s semi.

Emma and Jack bought the house before the COVID-19 pandemic, and renovation swathes of the house during lockdown.

The kitchen space is one of the biggest transformations in the house, as the space was maximised with an extension.

Emma described the previous kitchen in horrifying terms.

She wrote to followers: “For anyone who hasn’t followed our renovation from the beginning, we bought the house two and a half years ago and always planned to do this.

“We had a small kitchen, which didn’t have an oven, for twp years before we pulled it apart.

The couple are not quite finished, aiming to add upholstered, built-in seating around their bench-style kitchen table

The couple have a lovely parquet floor and pale yellow walls.

Glass pendant lights hang from the ceiling, where an exposed metal beam adds a lot of character.

Emma said: “I’m so glad that we went for it in the end, and even more pleased that we decided to put the vaulted ceiling in.

One wrote: “Such a beautiful space.”

“It’s absolutely stunning my lovely,” another said.

Another wrote: “That’s is a transformation and a half.”
