From March 1 2022, millions of Virgin customers are going to face some serious bill shock. The broadband and TV firm is putting up prices by as much as £4.70 per month which is one the biggest hikes in years. That increase could add as much as £56 to a yearly broadband and TV bill which Virgin clearly knows isn’t going to go down well.
Explaining more, the firm said: “While we recognise a price change is never welcome, with rising costs and our customers using their services more than ever, we are reviewing our pricing to fuel further investment in our network and services, both now and in the future. We’re committed to providing brilliant services and excellent overall value, and consistently give our customers more for their money than anyone else.”
If your current contract has come to end then it’s definitely worth giving Virgin a call to see if any of the current money-saving deals on offer are available as there are some big savings to be made right now.
Virgin Media has just announced a flash sale event that includes the firm’s Ultimate Volt bundle at one of the lowest ever prices. This premium package includes Virgin’s 1Gbps broadband along with an unlimited O2 SIM for your phone plus free landline calls.
There are also over 230 channels thrown in with those signing up getting full access to Sky Cinema, Sky Sports and BT Sports.
The Ultimate Volt bundle usually costs £99 but right now you can sign up for just £89 – that’s a saving of £180 over the 18-month contract.
Along with that deal on the Ultimate Volt bundle, there’s also a big bonus of joining Virgin’s Bigger Volt bundle.
Although this package remains at the same £57 per month price, users do get a free upgrade from M350 broadband to M500 speeds.
This bundle also features an O2 SIM with 5GB of data but that’s now been upgraded to 10GB monthly data.
The other big deal that Virgin is offering in the sale is free set-up which means anyone joining won’t have to pay the usual £35 fee to get things up and running.
