'Bold statement': Camilla wears purple and green tartan ensemble for solo engagement today

Camilla made a visit to Paddington Haven, a sexual assault referral centre in west London today wearing a striking tartan number. The Duchess of Cornwall was in west London visiting the centre as the community kitchen was designed to combat social isolation and loneliness. Camilla was wearing a purple, green and blue tartan striped blazer with a matching maxi skirt.

The blazer was buttoned all the way down the front of the piece.

The colours were very striking which made the Duchess stand out from the crowd.

Underneath, Camilla appeared to be wearing a white blouse with decorative frills on the cuffs and the collar.

This outfit was accompanied by Camilla’s favourite black suede knee-high boots.

For jewellery, the Duchess could be seen wearing several gold bracelets to add some sparkle to her outfit.

Her hair was voluminous and the royal wore minimal makeup.

A royal fan @sarah30twig took to Twitter saying: “I think she is wonderful.”

Another fan, @CarrolMcdonald6 added: “Brilliant! She looks like she’s really enjoying herself!”

Meanwhile, Camilla’s engagements in London today come on the same day her husband Charles has tested positive for coronavirus for a second time and is self-isolating.

However, Clarence House confirmed that Camilla had tested negative this morning.

A spokesperson said: “The Duchess of Cornwall has routinely tested negative today.

“She is on a separate series of engagements from the Prince of Wales.”
