Kim Kardashian took a subtle swipe at estranged husband Kanye West as she discussed the importance of never saying anything bad about your ex in front of your children – following the rapper’s very public digs at her.
The 41-year-old reality star made the comments as she posed for a stunning Vogue cover shoot in which she also reflected on finding the strength to get a divorce.
Kanye, 44, has been targeting Kim on Instagram in recent weeks, criticising the Skims founder for letting their daughter North use TikTok without his permission, alleging she had kidnapped their daughter Chicago and even claiming she accused him of putting a hit on her.
Ye has since deleted the posts, but referenced Kim on Instagram again on Wednesday as he shared a snap of Kim and their four children from the Vogue spread, that he captioned: ‘GOD PLEASE BRING OUR FAMILY BACK TOGETHER’.

Weighing in on how she copes with co-parenting, Kim told the fashion bible that it’s important to always think about how their words could impact their children, North, eight, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and two-year-old Psalm.
She told the fashion bible: ‘You could be so hurt or angry at your ex, but I think in front of the kids, it always has to be “Your dad’s the best.” Make sure you are your co-parent’s biggest cheerleader, no matter what you’re personally going through.’
Elsewhere in the chat, Kim revealed that it was pursuit for happiness that prompted her decision to file for a divorce last year following nine years of marriage.
She explained: ‘For so long, I did what made other people happy and I think in the last two years I decided, I’m going to make myself happy. And that feels really good. And even if that created changes and caused my divorce,
‘I think it’s important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy. I’ve chosen myself. I think it’s okay to choose you. My 40s are about being Team Me. I’m going to eat well. I’m going to work out. I’m going to have more fun, spend more time with my kids and the people who make me happy.
‘I’m going to put my phone down. Unfollow if I don’t want to see something on Instagram. Khloé came up with the best phrase for that yesterday. She said, “Post and ghost.”‘

Kim looked sensational in the photoshoot as she posed in a black gown with a daring thigh high split and a cut out on the bodice that showed off her toned abs.
The mother-of-four also wowed in a white floor length dress with sexy cut outs along the waist to showcase her hourglass curves.
Kim is known for her sense of style, but famously relied on Kanye to act as her stylist. Asked what she thinks will happen now that the pair are no longer together, Kim mused: ‘I always think, What will be next?
‘Because I always had Kanye, who knew exactly what the next fashion era would be for me. And there’s something scary about being out there on your own, but also something so liberating.
‘Who knows? I might just be in Skims and be so comfy and casual and wear no makeup, and that might be what I feel like representing to the world. Maybe it’s just not that serious.’

Kim also seemed to address why Kanye posted about no longer having her number, revealing she changed it in order to make herself feel less pressure to respond to people so quickly.
Referencing her recent getaway with boyfriend Pete Wicks, Kim said: ‘I was in the Bahamas, and the people I was with said, “We’re on f***ing vacation. We haven’t been on vacation in a long time.” And then they threw their phones in the ocean. I was like, “What? What? What? Am I allowed to do that?”‘
In lieu of throwing her phone in the ocean, Kim revealed she changed her number.
Elsewhere in the chat, Kim revealed she tries not to dwell on the impact her reality status has had on culture, explaining: ‘I just try to live my life and be happy for people. And I think when you just live your life like that, you block it out. It’s like a racehorse that puts on blinders so they can see clearly and straight.
‘You’ve got to just be that racehorse, put on those blinders, and go. And if you start trying to see to the right or the left of you, you’re going to trip up.’

Kim revealed: ‘I fought against it. I was like, I don’t know how I could wear the mask. Why would I want to cover my face? But Demna and the team were like, This is a costume gala. This is not a Vanity Fair party where everyone looks beautiful. There’s a theme and you have to wear the mask. That is the look.’
Balenciaga creative director Demna Gvasalia then said on Kim’s influence on the fashion and beauty industry: ‘I think for many, many years, there hasn’t been anyone who has redefined the standards of beauty, of feminine beauty, as much as Kim has. She did something that is very similar to what Marilyn Monroe did back in the day. She redefined our understanding of what beauty is.’
While Kim is known for her keen style eye, the reality star is also making a name for herself in the legal world by bringing attention to cases of injustice.
She is training to become a lawyer and hopes to follow in the footsteps of her late father, Robert Kardashian.
Detailing her driving force, Kim said: ‘This work has taught me so much. Especially raising black boys, who are going to be targeted so much more than their white friends.’

His post came just days after the former power couple squabbled on Instagram and after the reason for the standstill in their divorce was revealed.
As Kim has been trying to get her married status dissolved to single for months, Kanye’s refusal to sign off on it is the reason the process has hit a snag according to a source for E! News on Monday.
The insider told the publication: ‘Kim is still trying to get the “married” status dissolved to “single” before they finalize the divorce, but Ye has yet to sign. Moving this divorce along isn’t something he’s acting quickly on, despite Kim’s efforts.’

Back in December TMZ reported that Kim filed legal documents that will make her legally a single woman if signed off by a judge.
Perhaps the most interesting thing is that Kim wants her maiden name restored which means dropping West despite her businesses like KKW Beauty and KKW fragrance using her married initials.
The legal move is basically asking the judge to separate the issues of child custody, property, and financial implications from actual marital status.
As Kim has enlisted celebrity attorney Laura Wasser, the decision to separate marital status from other issues not out of the ordinary for the lawyer who has worked plenty of other celebrity clientele.
More than anything it allows anyone who is in the process of getting divorced to get on with their lives in being single and hash out other issues at a different time.

Meanwhile, Kanye has been lashing out at Kim’s parenting tactics for weeks, most recently criticizing her for allowing daughter North to use TikTok without his permission.

In an apparent effort to legitimize his stance, Kanye also shared a text exchange he had with Kim’s cousin.
‘Afterwards her other cousin Kara called me saying she agreed with me then said she would speak out publicly which she never did,’ West said on Instagram. ‘Then she suggested I take medication.’
