Death in Paradise’s Josephine Jobert says co-star refused to 'look at her' on her last day

Death in Paradise star Josephine Jobert has admitted her final day on set was very emotional. However, she explained to her fans it was incredibly difficult to make eye contact with one of her BBC co-stars.

Josephine is best known for playing Florence Cassell in the BBC crime drama.

However, fans were left devastated last week when her character left the series.

This was after she was involved in an undercover mission gone wrong.

Since the moment aired, Josephine has been sharing memories of her final day on set.

In a post on Instagram, she wrote: “It was so hard to say goodbye but it’s only a ‘See you soon’ right @josephinejobert_official.

“This scene was particularly hard because we knew then that it was a real farewell.

“I know the DIP family will miss DS Cassell but I miss you Josie alot more. (sic)

“Keep shining. Keep glowing and growing and inspiring people with your beauty, talent and humility.

“Thank you @josephinejobert_official for massively contributing to my experience on @deathinparadiseofficial and making it one for the books.”

Earlier this week Josephine also shared several photos of her final day on the show as well.

This included her hugging her co-star Tahj Miles who plays Marlon Pryce.

In a moving message, she wrote: “The first photo still makes me emotional.

“It was my very last day on DIP, we were doing a photoshoot, knowing it would be the last time we’d spent together.

“I had to retain my tears because I had another very small scene to film before my final wrap.

“But I shared this moment with @tahjmiles and it was very difficult for me not to cry. He’s so precious. So precious… I just love this photo.”
