Chris Eubank Jr cut a relaxed figure after facing off with arch rival Liam Williams for the final time ahead of their grudge match in Cardiff.
Eubank Jr has promised to deliver an explosive win over The Machine in Cardiff to end their feud for good – but after months of bad blood and bitter words, the 32-year-old insisted ‘words won’t change anything now’ as he prepares for Saturday’s showdown.
Eubank tipped the scales at 11st 6lbs and looked happy and relaxed as he readied at the weigh-in, and was calmness personified when they went face to face on Friday, hours before they go to war at the Motorpoint Arena.

‘It’s an awesome feeling when you know all the hard work has been done,’ he said.
‘All I have to do now is what I do every day – which is fight. That’s the easy part, all this – the media, the weight cutting, the trash talking is all a means to get to where I am now.
‘I don’t care what Liam does. He said a couple things yesterday, but at this stage now – words aren’t going to do anything, they aren’t going to change anything. I’m just ready to fight.
He admitted had to keep putting on the pounds through the night in order to make weight, but said he felt much more comfortable at middleweight than super-middle.

‘I ate all through the night,’ he added. ‘Chicken breast, sweet potato, apples, bananas, cashew nuts – I had to eat constantly every hour and a half just so I wouldn’t drop below the weight. I’m a middleweight.
‘At super middleweight I was having eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns – probably a jam croissant as well! I was never a super middleweight, but I didn’t do too bad.’
His bid to cool the tension comes after Williams – who weighed in at 11 st 5lbs – took a swipe at Eubank at their final press conference on Wednesday. He claimed he was ‘robotic’ and had ‘wooden legs’ before vowing to pull off a shock KO win.
‘I’m so excited to drop this guy down a few levels – maybe he’ll realise his level after this fight,’ he told the watching media.

‘I’ve got a better skillset, I punch harder. He might be tough and takes a good shot, but his legs are robotic and he moves like he’s got wooden legs. My skillset is better all round he’s going that find out on Saturday.
‘You have to have a game plan and I’ve got a very good one from Adam [Booth].
‘I dont think Chris is known for having a good chin and once the going gets tough, you will see that. I’m very excited. I am gonna come through on Saturday.
‘Chris has a rematch clause for this fight. He obviously doubts his ability a little bit. If I was going to fight someone and I thought I was going to blow them out of the water, why would I have a remach clause?
‘I believe I have the power to stop him. I prefer 12 hard rounds. Mentally and physically I’m in great shape, but I do hope to knock him out as well.’
