Below Deck’s Malia White on what she really thought of Courtney after drama fuelled season

Bravo’s hit yachting series Below Deck Mediterranean has gained worldwide success after it first landed on the platform in 2016. From jaw-dropping drama and controversial romances, viewers have been hooked and tuned in every week. With the show’s sixth season completely wrapped, Malia White shared her true thoughts about Courtney Veale.

Viewers were first introduced to Malia in season two when she joined the charter as a deckhand.

She later returned in season five, with a promotion which saw her become a bosun after she worked her way up to lead deckhand.

By becoming a bosun on Below Deck, Malia also made history as the first female leader outside the crew in the history of the series.

Although her new position led her to becoming unfavoured by some viewers, Malia reflected on her time at sea and opened up about her friendship with Courtney.

As fans prepare for season seven of Below Deck Mediterranean, they will be able to recall the sheer amount of drama which took place.

This included Chef Mathew walking off the boat on his first day, which resulted in the crew making dinner for the guests.

When tensions rose between Malia and Captain Sandy Yawn after she didn’t report David Pascoe’s injury.

Most shocking of all was the moment Lexi Wilson was fired from the series after continuous arguments and threatening behaviour against the other crew members.

Speaking more on her friendships, Malia shared her thoughts on having Courtney as a roommate.

Malia stated: “Well, she dropped the radio on my head the very first night and she puked in my bed, but other than that, she was a blast.

“She was always that bit of craziness and fun that you need in a roommate. I could have done without the puking on my mattress, but that’s fine.”

Elsewhere, Courtney also had nothing but kind words to share about Malia when she was interviewed on Bravo’s The Daily Dish.

The deckhand shared she had formed a close friendship with everyone but was closest to Malia White and Katie Flood.

“My bond with these 2 [White and Flood] really grew throughout the season and ever since! I love and miss them both heaps!”

Hopefully, fans will soon get to see the two reunite in the upcoming seventh season, while a release date has not been announced, rumours have suggested the series is currently filming in Malta.
