'Not allowed' Matt Tebbutt addresses facing ban upon Saturday Kitchen return after surgery

Saturday Kitchen presenter Matt Tebbutt has told how he’s been banned from cooking following surgery to have his appendix removed. The celebrity chef, 48, returned to the popular BBC cooking show today, but revealed on Instagram that he was handing the reins over to his guest chefs as he continues to recover from the operation.

In view of his 65,100 followers, Matt shared an update on his recovery.

He wrote: “I’m back on the studio for #chinesenewyear with @rickedwards1 @chefkennhom calling in, @ollysmith on the telly and Mandy Yin and @chinghehuang taking care of all the cooking because I’m not allowed.

Matt added the hashtags: “#evilempress #morningwine #foodheaven @bbcfood #saturdaykitchen @bbc5live.”

In the snap, Matt could be seen grinning alongside his colleagues and the show’s guests.
