Angel Adoree and Dick Strawbridge have continued to amaze viewers with their impeccable restorations on Château de la Motte-Husson. Escape to the Chateau, which first hit screens back in 2016, follows the lives of Dick, Angel and their two children as they restore a 45-bedroom castle back to its former glory. Channel 4 viewers have continued to fall in love with the eccentric crafters, making it to an impressive eight seasons. In the couple’s latest video which was published on their official website, Dick couldn’t help but swipe at his wife while detailing his troublesome trip to IKEA.
The pair were filmed outside their Chateau, sat on the steps while sipping a glass of red wine.
A rosy-cheeked Dick began: “Oh, by the way, be very careful if your wife does your [clothes] shopping for you.
“Who bought me the shirt?” Dick asked his wife who responded: “I did.”
Dick remarked: “What did you make me do?”
Angel attempted to interrupt but Dick playfully hit back: “Let me finish the sentence for a second.”

He told viewers: “She [Angel] made me wear it to IKEA, bad, bad move.”
The crafty redhead joked: “I actually thought to myself, if he wears that shirt in IKEA, I won’t miss him.”
“Of course, she couldn’t find me because everybody’s wearing the same coloured shirt [as I was],” Dick quipped.
In the scenes that followed, a rather merry Dick spilt his red wine over his trousers.
Meanwhile, Angel laughed: “Careful! I knew you didn’t like it but you didn’t have to pour red wine all over it.”
The former army officer added: “That is my life, by the way, put me in a yellow shirt and send me to IKEA.
“IKEA is a torment anyway, It doesn’t matter what you do, if you forget something and you have to come back through the little gap, you can never find where you’re going to in the end.”
Angel heckled: “Just drink your wine and stop chuntering,” she added: “This is your third [wine, Dick], cheers!”
The 43-year-old fabric enthusiast explained to their adoring fans: “We’re sitting on the stairs, this is where we sit very regularly and at the start, it was because we didn’t have tables and chairs, genuinely, and also in the summer going into the late winters, the stairs stay really warm.
“It’s beautiful, the sun goes down quickly but we sit here because it’s always a nice place to be.
“When we do a walk around the house, say [it’s for] a couple that wants to get married or even when we did our tour, we do gallops because there’s so much to say and it takes about an hour to gallop.”
She added: “So, what we’re going to do today is we’re going to do this floor, which is our main entrance.”
The 62-year-old MBE chuckled: “It’s because it’s the only room that is really tidy.”
“That’s not true,” Angel protested: “No, no, no. It’s all quite tidy.”
Dick responded: “Okay, just checking.”
