'What's the matter with you?' Bradley Walsh slams The Chase's Shaun Wallace over outburst

Contestants Ritchie, Connor, Emma and Victoria were hoping to beat Shaun Wallace on the latest episode of The Chase. However, the instalment got off to an unconventional start when The Dark Destroyer burst into song at the top of his lungs. Bradley Walsh, who was less than impressed by his colleague’s vocals, then warned him to “get on with the game”.

When Shaun sat down in his Chaser chair to go up against Victoria he told her: “Hello Victoria, in the words of Bon Jovi, you’re halfway there.”

He then burst into song while pretending to hold a microphone, singing: “in’ on a prayer…”

A confused Bradley, who looked on at the camera cringing, asked: “Why do you need a microphone?”

The Dark Destroyer replied: “You’ve got to have a pretend microphone don’t you?”

He then started singing the chorus of Livin’ On A Prayer again while holding an imaginary microphone.

Bradley wasn’t impressed with Shaun’s singing and added: “Good lord, what’s the matter with you?

“Can we get on with the game now? Let’s get some money on the table.”

Many viewers took to Twitter to comment on Shaun’s singing, with Sally Price remarking: Beautiful singing Shaun, [it] has made my day. #TheChase.”

His decision paid off and he made it through to the final with his female teammates.

Ritchie raised £6,000 in the cash builder round and was offered -£1,000, £6,000 or £47,000 by Shaun.

He played for £6,000 and managed to beat the Chaser and return for the final round.

“They are a super team in the eyes of the Chasers,” Bradley added.

They were all playing for £19,000, however, they were unfortunately beaten by Shaun and went home with nothing.

Following the team’s defeat, the Chaser said: “They are unlucky but [maybe] they just got into each other’s way.

“But Ritchie, it was a very good performance.”

The Chase continues weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
