Ruben Neves nets winner as Wolves beat Brentford 2-1 following drone chaos

Brentford 1-2 Wolves: Ruben Neves nets winner as Bruno Lage’s men win third straight Premier League game after drone causes chaos… as match is suspended for NINETEEN minutes

Wolves made it three consecutive wins in the Premier League with a 2-1 victory over Brentford at the end of a bizarre afternoon in west London.

Ruben Neves scored the winner for the visitors, who remain four points adrift of a Champions League spot, after Ivan Toney had cancelled out Joao Moutinho’s opener.

Referee Peter Bankes had to suspend the game and ordered the teams off the pitch in the first half after a drone was spotted hovering above the Brentford Community Stadium.

The unusual incident led to game being halted for 19 minutes, with stoppage time in the first half coming in at a whopping 26 minutes following a nasty clash of heads between Brentford’s Rico Henry and Mathias Jensen.
