Life on Mars star teases return of BBC series 'I might put a couple of quid on it'

The show celebrated the lives of passionate Yorkshire people across England’s biggest county.

Each episode featured a blend of heart-warming characters from all corners of Yorkshire.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Dean explained his love for his home county as well as the “fascinating” new show.

The 58-year-old  remarked: “I just think it’s interesting to see places that you don’t always get to see.

“And the people who have got everyday lives, but most of what they’re doing is quite special.”

The actor continued: “Sometimes it’s been going on for generations or you know, they’re keeping traditions alive.

“I love that kind of thing. I love to see the walks, I love to see the interesting places along the walks.

“I just think it’s fascinating.”

Life on Mars is available to watch on BBC iPlayer, while Our Great Yorkshire Life can be watched on My5.
