'It will have to end at some point' Aimee Lou Wood opens up on Sex Education ending

The third season of Sex Education ended in September 2021, and its cliff-hanger ending has left fans wanting more. Actress Aimee Lou Wood has spoken out about her time on the show and where she sees her future with it.

Aimee plays the fan favourite character, Aimee Gibson, who overcame some pretty significant obstacles during the show’s three seasons.

“Fast approaching 30”, Aimee wants to end the show on a “high” instead of fans wishing she and the show had stopped sooner.

Playing students in the TV show, the actress appreciated the series could follow the characters to university but didn’t want it to.

“It’s going to have to come to an end, which is sad, but also I feel like you should always leave them wanting more,” Aimee told Variety.

She added: “Always end on a high instead of having people go, ‘I really wish they would stop.'”

The third season left Moordale Secondary School in a mess with many storylines left unresolved.

Aimee is either very secretive or doesn’t know anything about the next instalment and said she was “confused” about where the storylines could go with Moordale being sold to developers.

“I know basically nothing about season four,” she continued. “I know a few little things about my character, but I really don’t know much.

Fans were delighted, loyal viewer Kate said: “I’m So EXCITED I kept putting off watching all series three as I did not want it to end @asabfb [Actor Asa Butterfield] I just admire all your work & LOVE you as OTIS.”

“I already expected this but holy s**t i’m so happy my heart is literally palpitating,” Vee joined in Kate’s celebration.

Season three saw Aimee paired with a “commitment goat” she and her boyfriend Steve (played by Chris Jenks) got to help with their relationship.

As much as viewers loved Aimee’s relationship with her four-legged friend, she has revealed her co-star was a “diva.”
